So I'm writing the first part of this post while in the air between North Carolina and Las Vegas. I'll finish it up after my first night so we'll see how it goes.
I had some pretty bad omens about going to Las Vegas. Not anything really bad, but lots and lots of small things that keep telling me not to go, like my toe. I went to the health center this morning and thankfully they were able to alleviate the pain a little bit, but it still hurts like a motherf*cker. It actually expands while in the air, so it keeps getting more and more painful and I haven't seen its condition since I left this morning so I CAN'T WAIT to see how it is.
I even had a dream last night that I had died in a car crash or something and I was contemplating life in my dream, and when I woke up.
But while I was organizing my planner at the terminal, I had a small glimmer of motivation. I have a weekly planner and every week I write a small quote that has been motivating me since the summer:
"Successful people do what they have to do, whether they feel like it or not"
I got that quote from a guy who got it from another guy, so I don't remember who said it. But anyway, I remembered that Las Vegas is a great opportunity and I can't let all these little things hold me back from achieving my goals, or what life has in store for me.
Also, I finally had the chance to listen to this song that I always compared to heaven...while being in heaven, haha. This is my first time flying in 4-5 years so its a great chance.
I'm writing this part from my desk back home (today). In short, Vegas was a really cool place, but my toe, and my nosebleeds from the dry weather, did not help. :/
Maybe I'll write more later, but right now, I'm focused on the career fair that's happening tomorrow. Let's see what happens!
Also, my website should be finished by tonight, so feel free to enjoy it!
